| Barrier Ltd won a large project in Ireland at the end of 2008 to renovate over 7000 heavy-wall pipes for Shell, each pipe being over 20 foot long. To do so, we needed to put up a new building with new overhead gantry cranes. These cranes had to incorporate every safety device available as this was a high profile and time-critical project. We approached AG Cranes Ltd, who were able to give us both a competitive quotation and meet our tight deadline for delivery, for the two brand new cranes and support steelwork. The engineering went smoothly as did the manufacture. At all times AG Cranes kept in close touch with us to ensure delivery. The cranes were delivered on time and proved a great asset to the project. The lads finished installing the gantry cranes late last night. I have to say they do look superb which is no surprise really considering the attention to detail given to finishing and presenting the final item. You’re only as good as your last job and would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone. I look forward to working with you again in the near future. Fergus. A foot note to this one: 7 months later we have since purchased a crane from another crane supplier. The installation went wrong and it wouldn't fit, the crane broke down twice within the first week and again 3 weeks later, and the end carriages are not suitable for our needs, costing us much production downtime. Our buyer (who has since left the company) over ruled the workshop staff's recommendation and choose a cheaper option. AG Cranes have since put the crane right. |
